Christmas came early this year. Christmas has been coming earlier and earlier until it hits me on the head, literally and figuratively. I walked into a Christmas tree when I turned the corner of the street.
The Christmas tree wasn’t there a couple of days ago before the weekend. Suddenly, after the weekend, the Christmas tree just sprouted out of nowhere and wham! I walked into it.
I was counting on nothingness when I turned around the bend of the bookstore. I never expected the shopkeeper of the lingerie store to put up a Christmas tree in October. Its frigging early to have Christmas displays but everyone understands that the stores are doing this to keep themselves healthy and out of the red.
There were interesting bits of colorful ornaments hanging on the tree. The pieces looked like tiny eye masks and strings. The things that hit my face were soft and unlike the hardball ornaments we usually see on Christmas trees. I peered at one flimsy piece and to my surprise, it wasn’t like anything traditional on a Christmas tree. The hanging decorations were micro lingerie. These tiny eye masks were actually miniature reproductions of ladies’ brassieres. The strings! I dreaded to check on what they were. Alas! I had to look to confirm my suspicions.
The strings were micro G strings and thongs. The store owner had spent a mint to get miniature lingerie to hang on his Christmas tree outside his store. The micro bras and mini thongs were chiefly for decorative purposes as they were too tiny to be worn. The miniatures were is a crazy array of gaudy designs and colors. Some colors reflected the festive season, while other colors were plain naughty. Tiny black bras and thongs fluttered suggestively in the wind. They flapped and wavered like flags of seduction. “Come try me!” They seem to say.
The micro corsets, panties, bras, thongs, G strings, underwear, and saucy lacy under-garments were useless save for decorative purposes. Thus, the store had no worries of theft. If they had strung the full editions, the Christmas tree could have been stripped bare and denuded of all hanging lingerie.
If a lingerie store had a lingerie Christmas tree, what would a condom store put up on its tree? I shudder to conjure up the picture.
