Where do souls’ ghosts go (photo) Stories Fiction Books

I live near a hospital. As everyone knows, each hospital has its own mortuary, where the dead are placed in hold awaiting collection by relatives or the undertakers. In reality, I live opposite a mortuary. This story in “Stories Fiction Books” asks where the soul goes after death. Does the soul become a ghost at that point?

Where do the souls of the dead go after death? Where does the soul go immediately after the body draws its last breath? Does the soul go straight to heaven or hell? Does it wander around to have a last look at its beloved family members before it leaves earth forever? Does the soul become a ghoul and haunt its familiar haunts?

Legend says that when the soul leaves the body, it is granted some time to do its last tour around its familiar surroundings before it is recalled to its rightful place for all eternity. The soul may linger around, or visit a beloved relative. The soul may stick around and observe the funeral wake and proceedings of its earthly body. Usually, the soul tries to communicate to let its presence be known.

Where does the soul go if it is lost? It may hang around its place of death. This explains the haunting of a venue. People living near a mortuary often have stories to tell about seeing souls.

However, not every soul has the propensity to appear to the living. There have been many deaths or violent deaths in particular spots but that particular place may not necessarily be haunted. Its like they need special privileges to be seen as a ghost. Not every soul can be seen as a ghost.

Is it spooky living in close proximity to a hospital and mortuary? I would be lying if I said no. The dead seldom are powerful enough to interact with the living after having crossed over. The extent of their capacity to cause some reaction would be to spook people.

What do you think? Have you met some spooks before?

Souls, or ghosts, may also hang around the place where their bodies are buried, or where their ashes are interred.

I have been in a columbarium, where my grandparents’ ashes are kept. I had the strangest feeling while I was standing before the crypts which housed their ashes. It was the sensation of a cloud that enveloped me and overwhelming me. The feeling was of love. It was strange. I’m not one to believe easily in anything but I couldn’t deny I felt love reaching out to me. It was queer. I couldn’t shake off the feeling. The dead, whose souls could have been around, were communicating to me in a language that used a different medium.

People who, while they were alive, told me I had to find my way out of the fog, were then trying to reach out to tell me they knew I was visiting their remains. Love was all they gave while alive and even while dead.

Some religions and cultures believe in reincarnation. The soul who has achieved great status and respect during its human lifespan will allegedly be reincarnated into an animal that befits its status. For example, insects are a lower life form than the animals. A soul who is reincarnated as a fly supposedly did not merit a better body during its life on earth.

I was visited by a huge housefly who made itself at home in my bathroom. I was perturbed. What if it was a pervert? What if it was watching me while I did my business in my bathroom? What if it flew out of the toilet and went around my home, spreading unsanitary disease everywhere?
